There's a new 100K route for 2024. Less hills, more fun! Check out the map on the About page.
I am pleased to announce that the Don Harris Century Ride, sponsored and hosted by Rossignol Estate Winery, will be taking place on July 15th this year (rain date July 16th), and that registration is NOW OPEN on Zone4 at https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=31896. Registration is limited to 100 riders, so don't delay as we expect we could reach that number this year! Also (assuming there are spots left), the price will go up by $5 after July 8th, and by $10 after July 11th. Cycling PEI members get $10 off on registration! This year, based on past participant feedback we are creating an option for those doing the 100km ride to opt for an earlier start time of 8:30am if they wish (but please note that the ride will not be supported until 9am). At the end of the ride, everyone is invited to hang out and enjoy some great food (included in the registration) and the company of fellow cyclists at the beautiful Rossignol winery grounds! Riders are encouraged to make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of event founder Don Harris, who died of a stroke while doing what he loved - cycling! - in 2013. We have established a special donation page for this purpose with the Heart & Stroke Foundation here: https://heartandstroke.crowdchange.ca/42544 Thank you, and we hope you can join us on July 15th for another great Century Ride! Registration is now open for the 2022 Don Harris Century. There is a slight change in the 100K route, eliminating the slight diversion towards Panmure Island. You can access the map on the About page.
News about registration is expected soon. The tentative date is July 16, 2022.
Thanks to everyone who participated! See you next year!
Registration is now open for the 2020 Don Harris Century and Trail Ride to be held on July 18.
The 2019 Don Harris Century will be held on Saturday, July 13th. There is a new 100K route, we've kept the 60K road and the trail ride the same for this year. Don't forget to donate to Heart and Stroke!
Thanks to everyone who participated in this years ride. The weather was perfect, and as usual, John Rossignol was a great host.
I did a quick internet search of accommodations within a ten minute drive of the winery. This isn't an endorsement of any of these properties, I have no idea if they're a one star or five. But, if you're looking for a nearby place to stay, it might be some help.
